Elizabeth Gordon-Tennant is an American visual artist and photographer.
Elizabeth first began taking photographs in 2010 with her blackberry; documenting her daily life in the world of fashion and creating intimate portraits of those within it.
The evolving series “Work Shots : Glamour Shots,” emerged with over 500 collected black and white snapshots, offering a very personal and visual reportage of the fashion industry via blackberry. Embraced by her peers in both fashion and art, Elizabeth’s work was first exhibited in the exhibition Social Photography at Carriage Trade in New York City in 2011.
Elizabeth’s work has since expanded to include a number of portfolios focused on intensely personal and spontaneous photographs and paintings of her life, in fashion, the arts, and New York. Collectively, the images provide a visual narrative while generating a sense of emotional poetry.
By utilizing her smartphone, Elizabeth has been able to capture intimate, authentic, and emotional portrayals of the people and places she encounters.
Elizabeth currently lives and works in New York City.
